New Year, New Launch: Introducing Staverton EX
With a well-earned reputation for office furniture innovation, it’s unsurprising that our in-house design team is kicking off 2024 with a new product launch.
We will unveil our newest office furniture design, Staverton Executive Workwall (EX), at the annual Workspace Design Show in February – a two-day event which always attracts the most creative furniture designers, workplace professionals and architects to the Business Design Centre in London.
Staverton EX allows rooms to be transformed into inviting, private and highly functional workspaces. Crucially, EX’s premium design elements contribute to creating spaces that employees can take pride in and be motivated by.
Worksurfaces maximise the visibility of wall-mounted monitors to aid productivity and enhance the user experience, while LED shelving lights help to improve concentration and reduce stress.
EX also offers a highly contemporary aesthetic thanks to the smooth, seamless worktop edge with no visible bonding line, the back chamfer shapes, and the slat wall fascia panels in real-wood laminate effect with black slat detail, which can accommodate floating shelves.
Other thoughtful additions, such as an integrated refrigerator, demonstrate the variety of ways EX adds function to spaces and creates positive and productive employee experiences. EX is available in a range of premium finishes, including those from FENIX®, and supports the latest workstation technologies and AV solutions.
EX responds to a growing need to minimise workplace distractions with dedicated spaces for quiet-focused work and one-to-one meetings – which is especially relevant for companies operating in the legal, financial, or consulting industries.
We have also designed EX to be customisable, a feature which is synonymous with so many of our products, so customers can ‘mix and match’ components to create the perfect solution for their employees and workspaces.
EX also offers seamless compatibility with other office furniture solutions in the Staverton range, including: Workwall – a wall-mounted system that can host TV monitors, VC cameras and whiteboards, BX storage and lockers, and SOS and SL sit-stand desk solutions.
Staverton’s lead office furniture designer, James Barke, said: “Noise management and privacy are genuine considerations in the open plan and agile office. While workplace designers must create environments that support collaboration and community, they must also give thought to those who need private spaces for specific work tasks or quiet reflection.
“The ethos behind EX is that it provides an all-in-one executive solution to support concentration, and it can be reconfigured or added to as needs change. It strikes the perfect balance, achieving flexibility and longevity without compromising functionality.”
The product’s innate flexibility has been achieved through its modular design and by making the wall-mounted solution easy to install with unique vertical mounting rods and fascia panels with quick-fix buttons.
James continued: “Staverton EX can transform any room into an inviting, comfortable and fully functional private office with a premium feel. Thanks to some thoughtful design features, the system has real impact and is easy to install, plus it has integrated power and cable management to create an aesthetically seamless and tech-ready solution.”
EX can accommodate single expansive work surfaces up to 2800 mm wide and high-quality storage and cabinetry – both of which reflect our 90+ year heritage as an award-winning British designer and manufacturer of office furniture. In particular, EX builds on our long-standing expertise in manufacturing wall-panel systems.
Paul Edward, managing director of Staverton, added: “Staverton EX shows the evolution of our designs, especially Workwall, and how we continue to help clients solve their office furniture and workspace challenges today and tomorrow.”
“As a long-standing British manufacturer with a keen eye on the future, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously and are committed to sustainable office furniture design and manufacture. That’s why we’ve used the most sustainable materials and processes in the design and manufacture of EX. We ensure that our raw materials come from sustainable sources, minimise waste at every stage, maximise product longevity and work hard to reduce our impact on the planet. “
Our team is proud of the cost and carbon benefits of EX, which, like all Staverton furniture, is manufactured at our Rotherham factory in South Yorkshire. Thanks to our UK operation, Staverton office furniture incurs lower transportation costs, generates fewer carbon emissions and reduces lead times compared to its European counterparts.
All Staverton products use 60-80% recycled MFC, with the remaining amount sourced from sustainable FSC sources. We use 100% recycled steel and 100% recycled polyester for upholstery fabric, and we purposefully avoid foam-backing or adhesives when using fabrics to support easy recycling. Additionally, the sit-stand actuators and controls used in the SOS and SL ranges contain 30-40% recycled materials, and all our cables and electrics are fully recyclable.
Paul concluded: “EX is the latest product to embody our sustainable ethos and Staverton’s trademark commitment to function, form, and flexibility. We look forward to unveiling EX in February and sharing the compelling benefits of British office furniture.”
