Staverton to deliver its next slice of Clever Thinking in Practice
Following their success at Clerkenwell Design Week, Staverton and Zip UK are set to co-host their next Clever Thinking in Practice seminar for London’s architect and design community.
The event will begin at 4.30pm on Thursday 1st November 2012, at the Staverton & Zip UK Showroom, Clover House, 147-149 Farringdon Road, London, EC1R 3HN.
An informal drinks reception will be followed by an interactive seminar presented by Dr Jenny Thomas and Patrick McCrae, who will discuss the benefits of art in the workplace. We will discover how art can develop, influence and inspire staff, encourage loyalty and even contribute to CSR objectives.
Dr Jenny Thomas is the Director of Performance Consultancy, a company specialising in evidence based design and post-occupancy evaluation. Her doctoral research focused on evaluating the impact of the workplace environment and how to create a stimulating environment for employees. She now works across commercial, education and healthcare sectors. Patrick McCrae is the Director of Works in Print, an office art company. Established in 2009, WiP has the vision to provide a rented changing collection of art to occupiers while giving artists an almost unprecedented ‘paid-for’ exhibition.
Helen Strother, Marketing Director for Staverton said: “The architect and design community gave us fantastic feedback following our first CTIP seminar at Clerkenwell Design Week and we were especially keen to build on that. Jenny and Patrick’s expertise promises to make our next event very popular, particularly as it’s all about combining socialising, networking and learning neatly together.”
